June 25th thru 27th 2010 Prairie Quilt Guild Sue will be in Wichita KS. hanging out in the KenQuilt booth. She says she is going to be working but I think its just a little down time for her (ok well deserved). She will be doing live demo's on the KenQuilt machines and sharing tips and tricks. Everywhere she goes there is always one complaint that she is to busy but now is your chance to spend some time with her. If you haven't already picked up Sues new book "Adaptable Quilting Designs" now's your chance. Books will be available for sale in the KenQuilt booth and Sue will be happy to personalize them for your so drop by and say Hi!! Feather Alternatives Not every quilt screams for feathers... join Sue and discover a world of alternative designs to create movement and texture. These free motion designs are great for blocks and sashing, and to use on borders of quilts that scream for anything but feathers. This class is for all levels of quilters and offers everything from light to intense quilting options. Sue will discuss batting, thread choices and touch on how design alters the overall look of the finished quilt top. If you are looking for unique design ideas for all those quilts that need more than the oh so common feather then come quilt your way to a whole new world of design ideas. *This Class features some of the designs found in Sue's new book "Adaptable Quilting Designs* Free Motion Edge to Edge/ All Over Designs NO marking, NO turning of the quilt, and NO pantos needed!!! Come learn how quick and easy those quilts can be done using free motion. This class covers design ideas, threads, batting, texture and movement to create evenly distributed quilting. We will explore the age old question when to stitch in the ditch and when to ditch the stitch, and change the way you view sashings for ever.
